I’ll Buy That Dream

Hi ya’ll.  Recently I have had a song stuck in my head.  “I’ll Buy That Dream” by Dick Haymes and Helen Forrest in 1945.  The chorus is “It doesn’t sound bad and if it can be had, I’ll buy that dream.”  I know that our Father God has dreams for each us.  They are big dreams that we of ourselves can not make happen.  This past year God was speaking BIG DREAMS to me.  I decided to make my reply, “I’ll buy that dream.”  This year without His help we could not have started the publication of our children’s book series, The Missionary Dog.  Believe me when I say that this was all a dream that God gave.  I believed Him faithful to bring it to pass.
Usually when you have a dream you focus on the achievement, the good, the success, the victory.  We don’t dream of every obstacle that has to be overcome.  That is why we call it a dream, because it usually seems impossible and beyond our ability. That’s why I like to remind myself of what they taught me in Bible School; “God equips the called, instead of calling the equipped.”  Just think of all the people in the Bible that God gave a dream or vision.  It encourages me to think of how they had to walk out what God told them  just as we do today.   If we obey we are successful.  I just want to remind you of several people in the Bible that had dreams:
– Abraham
– Jacob
– Laban
– Joseph
– Pharaoh
– Solomon
– Daniel
– Nebuchadnezzar
– The Magi
– Abimelech
– Pilot’s wife
– Samuel
– Zecharias
– Ananias
– Peter, Paul and John
When you purchase, or buy something you treat it differently than something borrowed, rented, or leased. Something that you buy you view and value it differently.  So my message to you is when God gives you a dream, a mark, meaning, or purpose bigger than you; BUY IT!!  The word buy means to accept, or believe something as true.  To acquire possession or ownership of.  BUY God’s dream for you and value it, own it, and accept it.  Jeremiah 32:27 (AMP) says “Behold I am the Lord, the God of all flesh, is there anything too difficult for me?”  No there is nothing to difficult for our God.  I have learned this year that God has placed things in us and He will bring them to fruition if we cooperate.  As I leave you, think on this quote from Smith Wigglesworth, and now go dream!  “There is nothing impossible with God.  All the impossibility is with us when we measure God by the limitations of our unbelief.” – Smith Wigglesworth.
