Stronger

I John 4:4  You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Hi Ya’ll.  I think that as Christian’s  we are on assignment for the Lord.  Sometimes in the midst of the battles and trials your endurance wanes.  I sure have felt like that at times.  So what can you do?   I recently was thinking about this as I was presented with a couple of trials that felt like they had me whipped.  Our God is so good and gracious.  He brought me to the new hermit crab pets my daughter has.  A hermit crab needs to crawl inside a shell for it’s protection.  So what about us?  You and I are the opposite we get our strength from the inside.  Isaiah 40:29 says ” He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”  Also Philippians 4:13 tells us “Greater is he that is in me than the that is in the world.”  I realized that as Christian’s we house our strength on the inside.  Think about it.  The hermit crab alone is weak, it needs a shell for protection and basically to survive.  Well we also are weak against the trials of this life. BUT, we have our God on the inside of us and He is our strength. I think that sometimes we need to remind ourselves of this, and pull on that heavenly strength. I don’t know about you but it helped me.  I cant help but smile now every time I see a hermit crab. There are so many good verses to study on about strength.  Check out these additional verses
II Corinthians 12:9-10, Isaiah 40:31, and Psalms 46:1.  Strong means not mild or weak, intense and extreme, forceful, ardent, zealous.  Also strong means moving with force, not easily injured or destroyed and not easily subdued.  WHEW!  I can see my myself as that in Christ!  What a good confession.  I am not easily injured or destroyed.  I am not easily subdued. I am forceful and zealous. I move with force and am intense.  If you need some more great confessions check out this amazing  ministry and woman of God Terri Savelle Foy @ terri.com.  You won’t be disappointed.  I leave you with this verse “Finally, Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power” Eph.6:10
